Aladino Elegante

The elegante remains one of my favorite vitolas despite its rarity. The Aladino Elegante, rolled exclusively with corojo leaf, drew me in with a delightful bittersweet chocolate flavor on the cold draw. From there, coffee and chocolate notes took turns in the spotlight with an intermittent marrying of the two. Dark roast coffee bean and mocha kept me intrigued through the retrohales. Construction issues plagued the Aladino. First, the cigar began to tunnel after the first inch. Then, I retouched it twice to keep it going. The firm draw and construction issues negatively impacted the smoking experience.
