A morning cigar should, in my opinion, pair well with coffee and not overpower you. Alec Bradley’s Occidental Reserve Robusto fits this description to a tee. Only hay came through on the cold draw. The first third offered cream and then graphite. The graphite gave way quickly to caramel, the flavor that dominated until cedar supplanted it in the final third. A pleasant array of spices presented themselves on the retrohales. At $4, everyone should have the Occidental Reserve in their humidors. Smoke them with coffee in the morning, and share them with friends on the golf course.
