Debuting in 2016, Ventura Cigar’s Archetype brand features five unique lines. The Sage Advice wears a beautiful and savory Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, yielding both full body and complex flavors. Caramel and nuts in the cold draw foreshadowed flavors to come. I tasted initial notes of wood, followed by caramel. The caramel bloomed into toffee and matured into sweet molasses. The sweetness of Cuban coffee mixed perfectly with the spicy retrohales. The burn waved a bit, but the Archetype did not require a touch-up.
