The Arturo Fuente Between the Lines Figurado may not have been the first barberpole cigar, but it set the standard. Most copycats completely miss the blend, resulting in a hyped-up gimmick. The Between the Lines still delivers incredible flavors and consistency. I drew in sweet barbeque on the cold draw. Additional meatiness greeted me in the first third. By the second third, oak with tinges of red pepper tickled my palate. Those flavors retreated in favor of cocoa, followed by wood and hints of black pepper. Cedar brought down the house in the finale.
