Ave Maria. It’s a famous song. It’s one of AJ Fernandez’s brands that hit the bargain bin on some online retailers. The band, featuring a Templar Knight, may be one of the coolest designs on the market. The Ave Maria Morning Star, a stubby perfecto, offered the taste of toast on the cold draw. My flame brought out bread and musty notes in the first third. By the midpoint, I could only detect wood. And the final third disappointed, bringing only earth to the table. The simple flavors could be enjoyed by most, but only at bargain prices.
