I look forward to the annual introduction of the AVO Improvisation series. For 2021, AVO went with a giant double corona vitola. The Improvisation line takes its name from how Avo Uvezian’s music took form – unscripted flow, improv. Cocoa notes burst through the cold draw. Cocoa continued into the first third, blending perfectly with baking spices. Next, caramel and cream arrived for a solid inch before chocolate chip cookie took over. The final third introduced hickory, then cedar, until mocha held court through the finish. For a long cigar, it burned evenly and delivered near-perfect airflow.
