You cannot find many Mexican puro cigars on the market. Featuring all Mexican tobaccos, the Black Chazaro Habana Torpedo hails from south of the border too. Pipe tobacco flavors came through on the cold draw. My first impression contained cedar, turning to oak by the end of the first third. Oak dominated most of the cigar until earthy notes entered the frame in the final third. Hints of pepper showed themselves on the retrohales. While construction was above average, the lack of complexity and the superficial flavors hurt the overall score.
