Take time this holiday weekend and watch The Hustler, starring Jackie Gleason. Then you’ll understand why Blackbird Cigar Company released the Minnesota Fats. The stout cigar wore a satin band emblazoned with the pool shark’s name. Tinges of tobacco dribbled from the cold draw. Rich chocolate brownies mixed with black pepper debuted in the first third. By the midpoint, I picked up a lot of cedar. But the chocolate returned in the form of a chocolate muffin, adding coffee for a tasty finale. Two canoes and two relights hurt the overall score.
