Camacho underwent a brand overhaul several years ago once Davidoff took the helm. The Camacho American Barrel Aged Robusto contains 6-year-old Corojo filler, and then the cigars are aged in bourbon barrels. The cold draw offered faint tinges of tobacco. After lighting, I tasted cocoa, dry like powder. The dryness continued through the first third as the cocoa changed to wood. At the midpoint, gears shifted to clove, a surprising flavor. The last third brought oak and cedar. Spicy retrohales balanced the other flavors. A bit pricey, this cigar brings an enjoyable profile that will not overwhelm.
