CAO crafts some unique cigars. Among them is the America, boasting two wrappers that create a barber pole effect. The CAO America Potomac (robusto) looks patriotic in its red, white, and blue band. Flavors of chocolate appeared on the cold draw. Post light, I tasted giant coffee notes, followed by tobacco. Later, chocolate surfaced and mixed with earth in a less than pleasant duo. Spice played solo on the retrohales. I looked for a paddle to deal with the major canoe that developed. My best efforts couldn’t control it. Poor construction and simple flavors hurt the scores.
