Cigar reviews – 99 words or less
The Cuevas family produced tobacco and manufactured cigars for other companies for over a hundred years. Not too long ago, the family launched their own cigar lines. The Casa Cuevas Edicion Limitada Flaco Maduro lancero came to me via Luxury Cigar Club. I tasted paper in the cold draw. The first third carried in campfire and mesquite smoke. Vanilla bean came next, with caramel in tow. By the midpoint, only caramel remained. Roasted nuts came by, playing with the vanilla until the final third supplied cedar and coffee. The strong flavor profile overshadowed the uneven burn and inconsistent draw.
