The Crowned Heads lineup is truly extensive. The La Carême arrived five years ago as a tribute to Marie Antoine Carême, a pioneer in French cuisine. What an intriguing tribute! Sadly, the blend didn’t pay homage as intended. After the earthy cold draw, more earth appeared in the first third. I detected cedar in the second third before char and must teamed up for a less than satisfying conclusion. While this particular sample was a miss, I would give this blend a chance at redemption.
