Happy Halloween Eve! Crowned Heads’ Las Calaveras LC50 2017 LE Robusto should be on your list of scary cigars. A calavera is a skull, typically associated with Mexico’s Dia de Los Muertos – the Day of the Dead. Pipe tobacco and molasses combined for a unique cold draw. The first third offered spice, fading into a delicious apple pie. Cedar came on strong in the second third. Finally, fresh-baked pretzel took the spotlight for a delightful finish. Two small tears in the wrapper didn’t affect the draw or burn, but they did affect the score.
