If you are not familiar with Crux cigars, you need to be. Initially released in 2014, Crux recently refreshed their entire line and logos. They bring five unique blends to the table, each earning critical acclaim from reputable cigar reviewers. The Crux Guild wears an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper with a Nicaraguan blend underneath. The result is a simple and mellow smoke. Dry grass greeted me on the cold draw. Hay debuted in the first third, turning over control to tea and honey in the second third. Later, sugar cookie mingled with the honey, perfectly complementing the peppery retrohales.
