Cigar reviews – 99 words or less
It is a shame when a cigar misses in construction. The Davidoff Special 53 got me excited upon release. But the tight draw through the first half meant I had to work to find satisfaction. Once I pushed past the neutral cold draw, the familiar flavor of Davidoff mushroom smacked my palette. After a few puffs, saltine cracker appeared, quickly dissolving into oak. The second third switched gears to lavender and herbs, along with other floral essences and berries. Cocoa led the dessert-like finale, followed by dark chocolate, cream, and cookie. Perhaps I’ll give the Special 53 another shot.
