Crafted from the finest tobaccos from Fuente and Oliva, JC Newman created the Diamond Crown Maximus to celebrate the company’s 110th anniversary. And it’s a helluva celebration. Some bitter coffee notes extended through the cold draw. Woody notes poured out in the first third, with the distinct flavor of oak. Earth took over, transitioning to coffee through the midpoint. The final third delivered sweet molasses, trailed by cocoa. Pepper bounced through the retrohales with grace. The depth and richness of flavors captivated me from start to finish.
