Sin Compromiso – Without Compromise. These two words stand as Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s company mantra. Steve Saka worked three years to create a blend worthy of this top-shelf cigar. The band recalls a Celtic cross with dark green over cream. Some toasted cocoa nudged its way through on the cold draw. The first third couldn’t shake an earthy profile. By the second third, spices and cocoa appeared, followed by wood and cedar. Baking spices and pie crust showed up later before a nutty finish. The flavors never aligned and developed into the complex experience I expected.
