Foundation’s El Gueguense (wah-when-say) The Wise Man Corona Gorda takes its name from Nicaragua’s satirical drama portraying the nation’s protest against imperial rule. The band features characters wearing tall colorful headgear as seen on performers. Notes of bold coffee passed on the cold draw. Coffee continued into the first third, mingling with spices. The second third delivered hints of cedar wrapped with leather. Caramel took over in the final third, with occasional hits of earth. Every puff brought full-bodied flavor and power.
