A maduro cigar does not have to be full-bodied. Take for example the El Gueguense The Wise Man Maduro Corona Gorda. The Mexican San Andres wrapper adds lots of earthy flavors without overpowering you. Tinges of coffee passed in the cold draw. Lovely spices welcomed me in the first few puffs, followed by rich expressions of coffee. The midpoint delivered leathery notes paired with sweet caramel. Earthy notes played with spicy retrohales in a simple finish. Ample airflow and excellent construction produced effortless draws and volumes of luscious smoke.
