Relentless Perfection. Each box of Escobar Cigars features this tagline, and Escobar is not far off. Escobar says, “the days of paying FAR too much money for an incredible cigar are over.” Enough said. The Maduro Double Toro Gordo presented semisweet chocolate on the cold draw. Wood and red pepper ignited my palate before cocoa settled in. The second third delivered butter cookies, followed by more cocoa and wood. The final third started with earth and hickory and mellowed into wood by the end. Each and every puff satisfied me to the core.
