Flor de Selva Grand Presse Box-pressed Toro
Maya Silva Cigars created the Flor de Selva Grand Presse, a stunning box-pressed toro wearing a second band at the foot. With an oily wrapper shaded like a coffee bean, the Grand Presse looks impressive. The cold draw exposed nuts and earth. Butterscotch, followed by coffee, coated my palette during the first two-thirds of the cigar. The last third surprised me with caramel and licorice. Black pepper and an understated sweetness consistently appeared on the retrohales. A curvy burn made me anxious to grab my lighter, but no canoes developed. Worth a try? I say, yes.
