Scoring a great cigar deal remains one of my great pleasures. This Graycliff 30-year Vintage PGX, boasting a thirty year old Cameroon wrapper, came to me in one such deal at over 80% off retail. The earthy cold draw left something to be desired. Once aflame, the Graycliff opened with huge flavors of sourdough bread and cedar. Hints of vanilla, a rarity, streamed through the retrohales. Later, nuts joined the cedar in a pleasant combination. Baking spices mingled with the vanilla to create a dessert-like retrohale during the final half. The Graycliff burned true and allowed ample airflow.
