Cigar reviews – 99 words or less
H. Upmann celebrated its 175th brand anniversary with a Churchill cigar blended by AJ Fernandez. The Nicaraguan puro looks beautiful, sporting a gold foil band fitting for such a commemorative celebration. Delightful notes of cocoa and coffee greeted me on the cold draw. Once aflame, cocoa and oak danced on my palette. Chocolate and caramel, mixed with walnuts, appeared in the second third, flavors that continued to develop into a delectable dessert like a Toll House pie. Retrohales passed along touches of black pepper and spice, which balanced out the sweetness within. Excellent construction yielded a relaxing experience.
