We all know the H. Upmann brand from Altadis. The 1844 Reserve highlights some excellent tobaccos expertly rolled by some of the world’s best. The Titan measures in at healthy 6×60. Sweet pipe tobacco, like honey Cavendish, debuted on the cold draw. Tobacco notes greeted me post light, followed by coffee and cream, flavors that hung around for quite a while. Oak finally pushed through to open the final third, partnering with cocoa in a unique and tasty finish. Airflow was excellent, and the big cigar burned well from start to finish.
