The giant, bold black and silver bands of the Hoyo de Monterrey Edicion de Cumpleaños 150 Box-pressed Toro grab your attention. Something special lurks inside this cigar. The taste of cocoa appeared on the cold draw. Hints of earth welcomed me on the initial puffs. But shortly after that, heaps of dark chocolate and cacao smothered my palette. At the midpoint, dark roast coffee took over until supplanted by hot cocoa. My retrohales tasted of coffee and cocoa, an exceptional complement to the overall flavor profile. Despite a moderate canoe, combustion remained consistent and provided plenty of smoke.
