Illusione’s Cigares Privé line started as a very limited run of single-store releases. After it went away, fans made their voices heard so much so that Illusione brought the line back as a regular production cigar. The cold draw dropped bitter tobacco on my palate. When the curtain came up, wood bowed first. Some nuttiness came into the scene briefly until coffee and cream nudged it aside. The final act brought subtle tinges of caramel and overwhelming earthy notes. Inconsistent airflow and a wild burn kept me working from start to finish.
