A full-bodied miniature powerhouse! The Illusione Cruzado brought its A-game to this review. Upon cutting this nubby robusto, I drew in lovely notes of coffee and oak. Starting with espresso, the Cruzado opened up with bursts of raisins and toffee. Creamy retrohales filled with delicate spices and cookie dough delighted my senses. The second half featured espresso, dried fruits, and more spice. The architecture of the Cruzado awarded me with an effortless draw and a solid burn. Buy it? Yes. In fact, it’s box-worthy. Enjoy these masterpieces when you have 45 minutes to experience a little bit of heaven.
