The Jake Wyatt Cigar Company launched in 2020, taking a 30-year family legacy of bricks and mortar cigar shops into the cigar-making business. Each line features artistic wrapper designs that look cool and make for a great conversation starter. The Herbert Spencer, named for an English philosopher, offered cocoa on the cold draw. Chocolate continued post-light, quickly moving to mint chocolate chip. The midpoint tasted of mocha, followed by spices and sourdough bread. I enjoyed earth and leather in the long finish. The distinctiveness and depth of flavor made this one of the best cigars I’ve ever smoked.
