A great cigar doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. The JFR Vintage Selection Maduro Super Toro sports a medium brown wrapper, though its uneven color may indicate a bit of a bargain. The pigtail cap and partially closed foot provide some class. I drew in bitter tobacco notes through the cold draw. Then a caramel lover’s dream began. First, a rush of creamy caramel mixed with subtle tinges of campfire took hold. When the campfire exited, cedar moved in, providing a warm, pleasant flavor. Finally, the cedar retreated to leave caramel and cream wrapped around each other.
