Cigar reviews – 99 words or less
The Kafie family hails from Nicaragua, having produced tobacco there since 1901. Run by Dr. Gaby Kafie, a retired surgeon, Kafie cigars ages all filler tobacco at least four years. Such a process increases costs, but it produces excellent flavors. After a quick snip, I pulled clove on the cold draw. A pleasant blend of spices debuted in the first third, later combining with charcoal, carried through the halfway point. Faint cocoa and woody notes closed out the experience. I expected deeper and bolder flavors, but they never arrived. A loose roll resulted in a very fast burn.
