It’s about time a Karen Berger cigar made it to Longdraws. The Decadencia No.1 Toro is a Nicaraguan puro made from tobacco grown on Karen’s farms in Esteli. Privada Cigar Club partnered with Karen to bring this cigar to market. Bitter chocolate and woody notes snuck out of the cold draw. The first third opened with wood that matured to oak. Mixed nuts and earth came to the party in the second third. Subtle notes of coffee closed out the experience. The blend missed the mark in complexity and balance. And the construction could have been better.
