When a cigar gets a gimmicky name, it needs to live up to the overblown attention. Sadly, the La Fabrica Protect Your Nuts robusto left me wishing I had protected my wallet and palate. It lacked depth, complexity, and worst of all, flavor. Wet wood made an impression on the cold draw. More wood followed in the first few puffs, along with lots of earthy notes. Some spice joined in during the second third, only to vanish, leaving earth all alone. In the end, the blend missed the mark.
