Disappointed and frustrated describe my experience with the La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary churchill. I’ll start by saying the flavors were exceptional. Cocoa said hello on the cold draw. Then cocoa came back, along with baking spice, once the LFD caught fire. The second third delivered caramel, mixed with cocoa. And the last third held the cocoa and added raisins. Retrohales stayed consistently spicy. The issue with this cigar was combustion. I couldn’t keep it lit. The wrapper and binder were not working with the filler to keep it going. A redux may be necessary later this year.
