Debuting more than half a decade ago, the La Flor Dominicana La Nox still feels like a new cigar to me. Packed with ligero tobacco and covered with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper, the La Nox screams full-bodied. I drew in tobacco notes and some bitterness on the cold draw. The flame released coffee that quickly grew into espresso. Loads of spices joined, followed by oak. The midpoint invited coffee back into the profile until it was overshadowed by earth and tons of spice. Construction was a tale of two halves, the first impeccable, whereas the last was a disaster.
