Cigar reviews – 99 words or less

The La Galera Habano Cortador Torpedo wears a royal-looking band, decorated with a crown and gold foil, along with a ribbed gold mylar ribbon around the foot. A distinct sour taste on the cold draw took a few moments to go away. My torch lighter brought the La Galera to life, leading to notes of toast and hazelnut. The hazelnut continued through the first half of the cigar before retreating, replaced by leather and spices. Retrohales consistently delivered black pepper in moderate doses. Excellent construction provided perfect airflow and an even burn.
