La Palina’s Classic line offers exceptional cigars at value prices. The Rosado rang it at a mere $5, but it tasted like a $10 plus cigar. The cold draw, a bit bland, tasted of hay and earth. Notes of salted caramel debuted in the first third. Later, creamy caramel macchiato flavors washed over my palette. And the grand finale drowned me in more caramel, chocolate, and nougat. Retrohales brought cedar, spices, and black pepper in generous doses. What’s more, construction was impeccable, with perfect airflow and burn. Buy a 5-pack, hell, buy a box, and share them with everyone.
