In the just over ten years since La Palina hit the market, it’s made quite a name for itself. For the 2019 TAA Convention, it produced a new blend taking into account some feedback calling for a fuller-bodied cigar, the La Palina Silver Label Toro. Some hints of cocoa trickled from the cold draw. More cocoa appeared in the first few puffs, quickly inviting wood to join. Wood and earth held court for a bit before dark chocolate came on strong in the second third. Dark chocolate continued into the final third, with occasional bursts of mocha.
