You’re missing out if you’re not anticipating the annual Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) releases from your favorite cigar manufacturers. Dozens of new blends make their way to market as limited production runs, like the La Palina White Label TAA Toro from 2021. The cold draw offered a big puff of latte. After some musty notes in the first half-inch, the White Label settled into creamy, rich, and velvety coffee. The cream washed away after a while, replaced by mixed nuts. At the conclusion, the buttery sweetness of chess pie walloped me. It was oh, so good.
