Annually, Las Calaveras releases a special edition; the Edicion Limitada 2020 LC 56 (toro) features a royal-looking purple and gold band, complete with a gold band on the foot. A simple tobacco tinge appeared on the cold draw, while nuts and earth poured out after lighting up. The second third brought a smokey mesquite flavor, reminding me of high-quality barbeque. The final third hit a home run with deep caramel and coffee flavors. Spice initially appeared on the retrohale before being replaced by pepper. Tight construction didn’t affect airflow or smokeability. I recommend aging this smoke for six months.
