Matt Booth at Room 101 spends his career honoring the cigar makers of the past. In doing so, he relentlessly pursues quality blends that all smokers can enjoy. The Matt Booth Prototipo 101 is a pre-release blend of an “everyday driver.” Tinges of rum casks released on the cold draw. Post-light, I drew in hot cocoa trailed by chocolate-covered raisins. Woody notes followed before the midpoint switched to rich mocha. When the mocha dwindled, I tasted almonds and milk chocolate. I enjoyed retrohales filled with delicious spices that mingled perfectly with the other flavors.
