Dark, oily, and alluring, the Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper gives this Micallef an exotic look. After cutting the cap on the MF650 (toro), I detected wood and earthy notes. My triple-flame torch brought the Micallef to life. Initial impressions of baker’s chocolate gave way to milk chocolate and cream, reminding me of a milkshake. Finally, cedar dominated the last third and offered a long finish. An enjoyable cayenne spice showed up throughout the retrohales. The rollers constructed a near-perfect draw, but the burn wavered a bit. I suspect the flavors would further develop with some additional aging.
