Nat Cicco started at the bottom, literally. The brand created the first bargain cigars from premium factory rejects. The Anniversario 1965 line celebrates the humble beginnings, but it uses extra-aged, super-premium tobacco and features a pig-tail cap and closed foot. Sweet tobacco notes fell from the cold draw. A burst of plums hit my palate to begin, transitioning to chocolate-covered raisins. By the midpoint, dark chocolate-covered raspberry truffles exploded in each puff. The chocolate lighted a bit toward the end, mingling with woody notes at the conclusion. Enjoy this cigar after dinner with a fine port.
