New World Cameroon Selection Box-pressed Toro
If you don’t know about AJ Fernandez’s cigar lines, you need to take notice. AJ is one of the most popular and successful blenders in the industry. His New World Cameroon Selection is bargain-priced, but it delivers exceptional quality, flavor, and construction. The box-pressed toro I enjoyed came draped in a stunning milk chocolate-colored wrapper. After my standard straight cut, the cold draw revealed some sweet notes. Only one match was required to get the Cameroon Selection going, a nod to the exquisite construction. From there, I relished in both toffee and peanut brittle flavors. The creamy smoke left some gentle spiciness on the retrohale. In the end, my $5 investment paid huge dividends. This could easily be a $10 cigar, but at the low price point, it’s an absolute steal. If you don’t buy a box, get a few and lay them down for some extra age. The result should be breathtaking.
