One of the best everyday smokes on the market; the Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto sets a standard against which few measure up. After a straight cut, I tasted strong cocoa notes in the cold draw. Once let, the Melanio delivered healthy doses of chocolate and coffee. About midway through the cigar, flavors of cedar and earth took over. Cedar carried through on the retrohales, giving way to subtle notes of black pepper on occasion. Though full-bodied, the Serie V Melanio offers a smooth and straightforward experience. Coupled with excellent construction, smokers of all types can enjoy this Oliva.
