Aging cigars allows flavors to marry and often results in a complex profile appreciated by experienced smokers. The Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Salomon Sungrown showcases the best in aged cigars. A blast of fresh plum and raisin smacked me on the cold draw. Fire brought forth coffee and nuts in the first third. The second third featured oak and dried fruits. Notes of cedar put a bow on the experience. In the first half, apricot danced on my palette, followed by spice in the second half. Though a canoe developed at the beginning, it worked itself out.
