JC Newman has a knack for blending affordable cigars that taste fabulous. The Perla del Mar features a new band design, simple yet distinctive. The Corojo Box-pressed Double Toro measures 6×60 with squared walls due to the extreme press. Hints of chocolate milk flowed from the cold draw. Chocolate continued, paired with wood, in the first third. I enjoyed baking spices melding with wood through the midpoint. The cigar gently transitioned to leather and coffee for a satisfying finish. The Double Toro experienced some trouble staying lit.
