I chuckled at the uneven box-press on this Perla del Mar cigar, as it featured three sharp corners and one round corner. The spotted Connecticut wrapper looked like a bargain on this inexpensive cigar. Only hay came through on the cold draw. Post-light, cereal and cream debuted in the first third. Notes of sweet tea came through later, giving way to shortbread and caramel. Smooth, creamy smoke billowed from the Perla del Mar, providing subtle notes of black pepper on the retrohale. The even burn and excellent combustion combined to yield a relaxing experience.
