The Plasencia family grows some of the best tobacco in the world. They also produce an ultra-premium line of cigars. The Plasencia Alma Fuerte Generacion V is a gorgeous dark chocolate salomon. Warm chocolate milk trickled from the cold draw. The first third tasted of cocoa and raisin. Oaky notes debuted in the second half, trailed by Mexican hot chocolate. Spicy notes ramped up in the final third, only to recede, leaving cocoa and wood. The uneven burn resulted in two canoes, and airflow could have been better. At $22, the Alma Fuerte cigar is best for special occasions.
