A few months of extra aging did not help the Principle Cigars Accomplice Holiday Bauble 2020 gordo. The stubby cigar featured a closed foot, so after two straight cuts, I drew cinnamon in the cold draw – reminiscent of the holiday. Salted pretzel held court in the first third, inviting dry cocoa to take over near the midpoint. And then things went wrong. The Bauble started to canoe and then went out – three times. The flavor profile changed to char and campfire upon relighting, leaving me longing for the first third to return. It never did.
