Good luck finding any Purple Sky cigars if you’re not living in the Southwest U.S. Three friends operate this boutique firm based in Mexico. They don’t have a website, so check Instagram. The Diablo Del Desierto, or Devil of the Desert, is not for the faint of heart. I enjoyed the bitter coffee on the cold draw. The first few puffs blasted me with espresso and black pepper. Spices and earth took over as the cigar moved into a full-bodied experience. I was a bit disappointed with the final third, tasting only campfire and earth.
